The end of the ride?

I have been getting up at 4AM 4 days a week for 2 years to train. It so happens I work as an accountant at my regional YMCA so I have all the weights and equipment I need. The problem is Im fucking tired man, not just the "I need a good night sleep" tired, I mean run down. Kirk (another character in my life) is a body builder friend and he keeps telling me I am over training.

More and more I am begining to believe him and am considering taking a week or two off of doing absolutely nothing. Your body can sustain punishment for periods of time but you do need to let it heal. My nutrition and sleep patterns are consistant, but I am 35 and maybe I need this break to get over the hump.

In that 2 years I made a lot of gains, Im running at 220 in a size 34 waist and yeah I could loose some more fat but Im 10-15 pounds away from being real cut and I get giggles from the teen girls that come in here so I am pretty stoked.

But I feel like shit, I have minimal energy at the end of the day and more and more am leaning on caffine to get me through the day productively. I would like nothing more then to be able to blow a line of coke and do jumping jacks all day but since that comes with potential jail time I will stick to legal remedies. Kirk also hinted at steriods. Im not opposed to anything, having dabbled in just about every kind of narcotic, not much scares me, but I steered the conversation in another direction.

Kirk is 50 in phenomenal shape, and is going to compete (and probably win) the over 50 (they call it the masters division) lightweight body building championship for MA. So when he tells me something about training I listen and take it to heart. So the end of the ride is approaching, 2 years and endless days at 4am might be taking a hiatous (is that how you spell that?) for a few weeks.

I'll decide later time to go back upstairs (am currently sitting at my desk at work) and finish my work out.
